Deadline for entries is Thursday May 2nd, 2024 at 10 am

 Entries received after the deadline will be allowed to participate but will be placed at the end of the parade and NOT announced. 2024 HD MAYHAW FESTIVAL
PARADE RULES AND REGULATIONS

Parade will begin at 10am sharp on Saturday  ● Lineup is at 9 am on the North end of Daisetta

  1. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES will be allowed on or in any entry vehicle. No consumption of alcoholic beverages by parade participants will be allowed before or during the parade. Parade officials will monitor.

  2. Candy and other small trinkets ARE permitted to be thrown along the parade route but CANNOT be thrown by the driver. If you are the lone participant in your entry, the parade committee will help source a walker to accompany you and distribute candy/trinkets. If assistance is needed in this regard, please indicate on your parade entry form.

  3. Vehicles must have their own liability insurance to relieve HD Mayhaw Festival, City of Daisetta, Hull Daisetta ISD and any representatives thereof from any liability. Liability Insurance will be verified at line-up.

  4. All vehicle drivers must hold a legal driver’s license and have unobstructed visibility. Distance between parade units must be no less than 10 feet. This distance must be maintained at all times. License will be verified at line-up.

  5. Revving of engines and burning of tires is prohibited to ensure the safety of our spectators and mounted entries.

  6. The parade coordinator is responsible for providing you with your line-up position number. This number must be prominently displayed during your participation in the parade. This number may be part of a banner that is carried in front of your entry or on your vehicle or float.

  7. The parade committee reserves the right to bar AT ANY TIME, any entry not conforming to the rules and regulations or for refusing to follow the instructions of the police or parade officials.

  8. Parade route begins just North of the intersection of HWY 770 and HWY 834 in Daisetta and will proceed South down HWY 770 ending at the First Baptist Church parking lot.

  9. Participants not interested in being announced or deciding at the last minute to enter are welcome but will be placed at the end of the parade ahead of the horses.
